Lasting Relief: Law student still in shock after narrowly passing T1 unit

Student Contribution: Ruby Evans

Today we met with James, a final year law student. For him, the euphoria still hasn’t worn off after he found out he would not be needing to retake Equity and Trusts before graduating.

“I thought for sure I had failed,” he confesses. “I even jumped the gun by just re-enrolling in it for T3.”

Many reports came flooding in from concerned students following the exam roughly a month ago, with similar complaints appearing throughout the Trimester.

“The assignment was particularly challenging as well. I remember how many late nights I had researching, while re-reading the requirements and discussion boards thinking I had for sure missed something,” James continues.

One student reports hearing all about this tough assessment from her friends in other seminars.

“I wasn’t even doing Equity and Trusts, but I had at least one friend in each class who was and they all felt suuuper stressed! It was definitely the class topic of conversation during those weeks,” says Brianna.

Thankfully for James, the historic study of Equity and Trusts is successfully behind him.

“Don’t get me wrong, I loved it! But I'm looking forward to focusing on lighter subjects this trimester before I graduate."

When we asked him what units he was studying, he told us he was doing Constitutional, Civil Proc, Evidence, and Advanced Legal Problem Solving. All we can say is, our thoughts and prayers are with James this trimester!!!
