Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It gives your brain energy! Don’t skip it!
Okay now that we have the obvious out of the way, we also can acknowledge that sometimes mornings are busy, rushed and the main priority is getting out of the house.
This is why it is super important to have some quick and easy breakfast ideas ready to go for these busy mornings. Here are some ideas!
1. Boiled eggs with spinach on toast
The best part of this breaky is how quick it is to throw together in the morning, especially since you can pre-boil your eggs earlier in the week!
Grab a bag of spinach, some bread and some eggs. On Sunday (or whatever day suits your routine), boil as many eggs as you’ll eat for the next couple of days, and once boiled, store them in your fridge. Then, each morning all you have to do is chuck the toast in the toaster, pop a handful of spinach on it (maybe some avocado too if you’re feeling fAnCY), peel the egg and voila! Your breaky will have protein and carbs to get you through the morning!
2. Overnight oats
There are SO MANY variations of this one!
The beauty of overnight oats is that you can add whatever flavours you like, and it is super quick to set up the night before! One recipe that you may like can be found here.
Some flavour ideas are berries; banana; apple and cinnamon; mango and; pumpkin and cinnamon! Get as creative as you like, and some great toppings include nuts, fresh fruit and granola.
3. Smoothies
Similar to overnight oats, there are so many different smoothie ideas out there! One tip with smoothies is to measure out/divvy up your smoothie ingredients the night before, and in the morning all you have to do is turn the blender on and off you go!
Smoothies are also a great way to add extra veggies into your day if you need to, you can always chuck a handful of spinach into your smoothie and you probably won’t notice a difference in the taste!!
So now you have a couple of quick and easy breakfast ideas, try implementing them into your morning routine so you never have to go without breakfast again!
