More Information

The Deakin Law Students’ Society is proud to present Equality in the Law, an engaging discussion exploring equity, access, and representation within the legal profession and justice system. Featuring distinguished Federal Court Justice Elizabeth Bennett as keynote speaker, the event will provide students with valuable insights into contemporary challenges and opportunities in advancing equality within the law. Through reflections on legal practice, leadership, and the evolving role of the judiciary, attendees will be encouraged to consider how future lawyers can contribute to a more inclusive and equitable profession.

Law students of all year levels are welcome.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which the DLSS is founded, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. We recognise their continued connection to the land and waters. We pay our respects to Wurundjeri Elders past, present, and emerging and extend this respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Elders and people from other communities.
