More Information

The DLSS and Deakin Scholarly Services Librarian, Law, Michelle Bendall have paired up to provide you with our three part Clerkship Legal Research Workshop.

This workshop is designed to equip you with the necessary legal research skills required for clerkships. The workshop covers all the relevant databases for researching Legislation, Australia case law, and international resources. We will teach you the research techniques, followed by practical scenarios where you will apply what you have learned.

These techniques go beyond typically legal research for an assignment, they focus on having the ability to quickly and accurately obtain information in a work setting.   The workshop series will run over zoom on the following dates:

Session 1: 15th of April, 12pm -2pm  – Victorian & Commonwealth Legislation

Session 2: 22nd of April, 12pm -2pm – Australian case law

Session 3: 29th of April, 12pm -2pm – International resources
