The Education portfolio has evolved over recent years and now operates under three main pillars – Academic and Study Support, Wellbeing and Exam Revision Sessions. We aim to keep these pillars fresh and innovate to find the best ways to continue to connect with students.

In 2021, we hope to improve the way we address wellbeing and mental health for law students. We are reassessing the way we currently go about events and initiatives in this space and are working to create beneficial, targeted and relevant content to support students in this sphere. We will release wellbeing mind maps and quotes, as well as host a Useful Belief seminar and R U OK? Day morning tea.In the academic domain, we are currently developing a Comprehensive Guide to Law School Publication as an expansion of the Pre-Penultimate Guide from 2020. This aims to bring together a number of helpful resources offered by Deakin, including extra-curriculars, study support, competitions and alumni stories and will be released in volumes throughout both trimesters. The successful How To Law blogs from 2020 will be refreshed and released monthly during the trimester, every fortnight alternating with the Wellbeing Mind Maps. We will be running the wildly successful Legal Research Workshops with Law Librarian Michelle Bendall in July. We also hope to run the Legal Writing Workshop in Trimester 1.
